SYR donated cleaning equipment to the latest Ronald McDonald House which opened just in time for Christmas.
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families while their child is in hospital, to keep families together. Often the child may be at a specialist hospital many miles away from their family home, making visiting difficult.
The new house is Evalina London, a purpose-built 59-bedroom house and is part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
It is a five minute walk from Evelina London Children’s Hospital, which is a designated national centre for children’s cardiac and other specialist services. The new house is expected to accommodate around 975 families a year.
As a supplier to McDonald, SYR is always happy to support RMHC, and was able to provide mop buckets, mop heads, dustpans and brushes.
